We use one of the markets leading tattoo removal technology ND Yag laser. This laser can safely and effectively remove tattoos, permanent makeup. It can also partially lighten any existing tattoo before being reworked via your desire tattoo artist. Tattoo ink particles are too large for the bodies immune system to remove naturally because when a tattoo pigment is injected into the lower layers in the skin (dermis) it becomes locked away by a wall of collagen fibres. Q-switched lasers produce very short bursts of high energy laser light. The light is absorbed by the large ink particles, generating heat that shatters the tattoo pigment into miniature particles which the body is able to remove. Since the tattoo ink selectively absorbs the laser energy, the surrounding skin doesn’t overheat and there is no lasting damage.

Tattoo removal using the ND YAG Q Switch produces 2 wavelengths, one in the infra-red range 1064nm which works on dark tattoos and a second beam 532 wavelength which is used on coloured tattoos. They both shatter the ink pigment into small particles which then naturally passes through the body.
